Butter Duck Farms began when my 8 year old daughter came home from school with head lice!

We had no warning, and I was completely shocked, felt angry, frustrated
and violated! The store brands were not working for us, and they were
so harsh they took off my nail polish. I became obsessed with finding
another way to take care of our problem. I formulated our No More Lice Treatment, and when my daughter came to me with the news that she was still
itching for the third time, we tried it, and it worked!
That was the beginning. Our product line has now grown to include handmade soaps, body butters, lotion bars, lip balms and
more. They are all made from scratch, using wholesome, natural and organic ingredients. We make them in small batches to ensure quality, and have been amazed at the results!

| People often ask us "How did you come up with the name?"
My
daughter Ana has always had an obsession with ducks, so when she was
three, we got some as pets. A few years later, I met Neal, a neighbor
(and now my husband) who had two chickens. It was unheard of for either
one of us to have these kinds of pets in our neighborhood, and I
realized that it, among many other things, was a sign that we were meant
to be together. That first Easter, instead of our usual "butter lamb",
I hand carved a "butter duck" and left it on Neal's front porch. The
famous Butter Duck was the ice breaker for us, and the beginning of our
love story.
We are excited to share our products with you, and hope that you love them as much as we do!
